Applications are invited for 2014 Rotary Peace Fellowships
The Rotary Peace Fellowship is the premier educational program of The Rotary Foundation (TRF) and supports Rotary’s mission to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace. It is intended for individuals who have chosen a career related to international relations, peace, and conflict resolution; who have work experience in these areas; and who have a commitment to community or international humanitarian service and working for peace. Applicants should consider these objectives carefully before applying.
Two types of Fellowships are offered:
1) A masters degree program (15-24 months at university Peace Centers in Thailand, US, Japan, UK, Australia, Sweden )
2) A professional development certificate (3 months at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand )
The selection process involves Rotary Club nomination, District endorsement and competitive global selection by TRF.
Up to 60 masters degree fellowships and 50 professional development certificate fellowships are awarded annually.
Both programs provide funding for round-trip transportation, tuition, fees, room and board plus other limited expenses.
Applicants require a bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus 3 years relevant work experience for the masters program and 5 years for the PDC
Applications are to be submitted on line in the first instance to local Rotary Clubs.
Nominations from Rotary Clubs need to be received electronically by District 9680 by 31 May 2013 (please forward to email@example.com ).
