CONCERT FOR PEACE
Jean Paul Samputu, internationally acclaimed Rwandan singer, song-writer and peace-activist will perform in a one-night only concert to promote reconciliation and forgiveness in African communities living in Sydney. Feature poet Roje Ndayambaje, the Omari sisters and other performers originating from the Great Lakes of Africa will share the stage with Samputu at Hurstville Entertainment Centre, Saturday 24th September from 6pm.
Samputu travels the world as a cultural ambassador for Rwanda. He is considered one of the most prominent African artists on the world stage, bringing traditional African singing, dancing, drumming and, most importantly, a message of peace, hope, forgiveness, reconciliation, and love.
Concert for Peace will be an entertaining celebration of togetherness, promoting peace and harmony, for a brighter, more peaceful future.
The concert is also a fundraiser for GLAPD Int., raising much-needed funds to continue to provide community programs and peace building initiatives.
